“This figures to be a trying, if fun week for Jennifer Gase.
She is the daughter of New Orleans Saints interim head coach Joe Vitt and the husband of Broncos quarterback coach Adam Gase.
Vitt’s Saints and Gase’s Broncos will meet Sunday night at Sports Authority Field.
Vitt is a linebacker’s coach by trade whose task this week to figure out a strategy to stop Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. Gase was spending Tuesday involved in the plotting of the Broncos’ offensive strategy.
Father-in-law vs. Son-in-law. In the middle is Jennifer. Adam Gase got his first NFL coaching job with the Detroit Lions in 2005. Shortly thereafter he met Jennifer at a charity golf tournament in Columbus, Ohio. Adam and Jennifer married and have two children — Joe Vitt’s grandchildren.
Adam Gase declined to comment, sending word he wanted the focus to be on the game.”
